Donating to H.O.P.E.
There are two ways to donate to H.O.P.E. If you would like to have a food drive, or have some food that you would like to donate, contact any of the churches and ask to speak to the person in charge of their pantry. They will be happy to work with you and will be very grateful for the food.
In general, nonperishable items, such as canned tuna, beef stew, chili, boxed cereal, and canned fruits and vegetables, are needed. We love to receive "dignity" items such as toothpaste, shampoo, soap, diapers and toilet paper.
You can do the most good with the least amount of expense by donating money rather than food, as H.O.P.E. uses every donated dollar to buy food at greatly discounted prices from the Oregon Food Bank
To donate money, send a check to Alice Hayden, H.O.P.E. Treasurer, c/o First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1718, Oregon City, 97045, Oregon.
